I'm going to divide the trip up into parts, mainly because I haven't finished resizing the various pictures yet.
So, Part I - The Proposal.
We flew into Las Vegas Monday afternoon. We flew in over Lake Mead. Kevin says he saw the Hoover Dam, but I didn't know what I was looking for, so I missed it. We were on Southwest, and I was crammed in the middle seat. I don't mind snuggles with Kevin, but I do mind snuggles with the other dude who can't sit with his legs together. Ew. Anyways, the flight wasn't bad overall.
After waiting for the luggage, and then waiting even longer at the rental car counter, and then waiting even more for the shuttle bus, we climbed into the car and drove towards The Strip.
We did not get lost, despite ourselves. Oh, and then we remembered that we meant to go to a grocery store first to obtain large amounts of water. I had already mapquested a route to a nearby Albertsons, where we picked up a case of water and some fake Baileys. Oh, and some candy.
Then, we made it back to The Strip, and to Paris. Where we immediately became confused. We finally found a bell boy, got the car unpacked, and I drove the car into self parking while Kevin checked in. He said to meet in the lobby.
Hahahahahahahahaha. The lobby is HUGE. But luckily he stayed right by reception, and was making dinner and show reservations with the Conerceige. You sooo don't want to know how I pronounce that. It leads to great hilarity, that's for sure.
Anyways, we're all set and head up to the room. We ended up in a lovely room that overlooked the fountains at the Bellagio. If you were sitting in the chair by the window, you could actually hear the music. The bathroom was large with a nice tub. The bed was a little disappointing - not nearly enough pillows, and no duvet.
I made a quick appointment at the salon for a manicure, which was very nice. My colors ended up a bit gothy purple because the woman who did my nails was a bit gothy, and I was influenced. But still very nice. We got back, and I think we wandered around the shops in Paris - they are nice and boutiquey.
We then got ready for dinner. Kevin had made reservations at Les Artistes Steakhouse. It's gorgeous in there - very Art Deco, but not stark.
The waiter took our picture - here we are being far too cute. I had a lovely Grey Goose Cosmo. I knitted the shawl I'm wearing.

I also had a fabulous rare Filet Mignon. I mainly took this picture because of the plate - aren't they gorgeous?

Kevin also had a filet, which he really liked.
Then we went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower - its a half scale model. The view from there is gorgeous, but its really really windy up there, and a little cold. So Kevin had me put on his suit jacket. Plus, it was crowded. But, Kevin found a little out of the way place, and pulled me aside.
He said "Oh, let's see what we have here in the jacket" and pulled out the ring box. I got really teary and a bit sniffly. Kevin said "I love you a lot. I'd like to be married to you. Will you marry me?" I got even more teary and said yes. Well, I said "Yeeeeaaaaaaaah". Heh. And then I said that I'd love to marry him, of course. It was really wonderful.
Kevin took a picture of me right afterwards.

We went back to the hotel room afterwards. :)
And that's the end of day 1!
